Conditions today were typical of August in the UK. Fortunately, the rain held off long enough to make a good shoot. This was one of the busiest shoots we have had, certainly for this year. The scores were high this month as the shoot was a little easier.
Highest score of the day was 47, shot by R. Wilgoss.

The arrangement was slightly different this month. Only 5 stands with 10 birds on each stand, rather than our normal 6 stands. Nothing in particular was set too hard and as a result all the scores were higher than normal. Statistically this has been the easiest shoot of the year so far with an average of 35.215.
Stand 1 - Standard targets down the path (2nd on Rapport). Fairly standard arrangement for this stand, although we have not done it for a while.
Stand 2 - L-R quartering over lake, followed by chondel on rapport. Had to be quick on the quartering target before it went into the trees to the right.
Stand 3 - R-L quatering standard, followed by over head from the tower on rapport. Quartering target was relatively straightforwad, but the overhead target was moving around in the air.
Stand 4 - L-R quartering followed by overhead from behind on rapport. First target was quite low, many were leaving it too late. 2nd target was landing right in front and posed no real problems.
Stand 5 - Low standard from under the stand, followed by R-L crossing target on rapport. First target was low and fast, second was into the trees to the left if you left it too long.
